„Temple Tour“
Start - Lamai Beach : 5:20 am
To the sound of the Beastie Boys’ “Bodhisattva Wow,” was proudly announcing where we’re headed and what needs to be discussed. Was talking arrogant coz of evaluating the latest comments.
Those were days when I had to react pretty harshly to stay on track and avoid starting any unnecessary conversations in the comments. It should be clear that this wasn’t a vacation trip.
After the Beastie Boys, I moved on to a dark, arrogant monologue, mentally fueled by Ol’ Dirty Bastard. Around 10 min had to cut out.
It was a good test to see how different music generates or supports different outputs.
Then it was the Beastie Boys’ turn again. My mood was skyhigh, dopamine kicked in, and needed to replenish water and protein. There’s quite a bit from the scene in front of the shop that should be added here.
Not only did a certain topic unintentionally and coincidentally come to the forefront one that systematically poisons us every day. Right after leaving the store, pointed out two dying insects“I was wondering what they’re doing there?!”
But I quickly looked away. Just right now do I understand the connection to the large wall of alcohol. I was aware that this recurring insect theme could point to a synchronicity.
That insects in my surroundings were constantly dying mysteriously or running suicidally into my path was nothing new. So I quickly turned away, haven’t to see that shit anymore.
Then a very passionate monologue began, driven by the incoming energy.
The topic was the principle of the victim role. I just kept talking to myself, incorporating mistakes that initially felt embarrassingly significant, but as Bob Ross always said:
There are no mistakes, only “happy accidents.”
A little later, it became clear that a psychological aspect could be drawn from that shit.
It was explained that the victims would, understandably, be in a better mood if they no longer let themselves get annoyed.
We're in a war of consciousness; within us lie perpetrators and victims in equal measure.
We allow them to take hold the more unreflectively we live.
If we start by not immediately falling into a victim role over every little thing, then we break the victim/perpetrator cycle, and things start to clear up in our minds.
The slip of the tongue actually stemmed from the fact that we get caught up in perpetrator and victim scenarios, and I mistakenly said,
“We let ourselves get annoyed and then get annoyed again.”
Since I completely overlooked the perpetrator role, one might infer from this that I’ve never harbored any perpetrator tendencies.
And, of course, that I can really talk a lot of nonsense.
Luckily, I found myself back on the road and was now ready to tackle the most grueling section of the mountain route.
That part had to be cut out because of my smoker’s lungs.
Wouldn’t want to put you through that, even with the best will in the world.
Once I reached the top, Pharscyde’s song “Drop” guided me into the long-awaited descent.
The fact that I keep repeating that it’s not important to be friendly, rather bothers me now.
Because it’s a joy for me to be friendly toward those around me.
So I was a bit caught in the negative talk-loop and set the main focus on the honesty. Even in me was someone who said, dude its enough, calm down.
But i didn't listen so just then, three young women rode up on a moped and complimented on how I'm sitting without hands on the bar.
I thanked them and took that hint.
Immediately shifted the topic and emphasize kindness again.
After all, it’s actually very important for your own well-being. Every time you offer your honest kindness to someone, reality gives you something beautiful in return.
As long you don’t expect to win the lottery right away, you can create a beautiful life and mindset through those subtle, little moments of joy.
After driving down the street from four years ago, where it all began, I slowly reached the area around the temple.
The tone became clearer and the mood lifted overall.
But as soon neared the temple, it was hard to keep my emotions in check. I wanted to explain the reason, but someone again told me to wait until I reached that corner of the road leading up to the temple.
As soon as I turned the corner, I was walking to the right spot and moment and pointed then to the golden dome.
The precise pointing of this temple dome with the index finger, given the chaotic and improvised way the camera was mounted, can be compared to a mathematical probability that is very low.
Coincidentally, just few minutes later up on the mountain, I tried to capture a little monkey with the camera. This completely clumsy camera positioning was carried out in good and honest will.
A very important but almost inconspicuous event didn’t occur until three days later. When it was time for the clip of the lousy date...
